Team Thangalaan release new poster on director Pa Ranjith's birthday
Thangalaan has music by GV Prakash, and this marks his first collaboration with Ranjith
We had earlier reported that the shooting of Pa Ranjith's upcoming film, Thangalaan, which is fronted by Vikram, was going on in full swing.
The hype around the film is increasing with every passing day with the team sharing BTS photos and videos from time to time.
Now, the makers have released a new poster featuring Vikram and Ranjith to mark the occasion of the latter's birthday.
Ranjith, who celebrates his birthday on December 8, turns 40 this year. This is his seventh feature film after Attakathi, Madras, Kabali, Kaala, Sarpatta Parambarai, and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. Known for his progressive films, and trailblazing ventures like his own production house, Neelam Productions, Ranjith has become an important figure in the history of Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Thangalaan, which features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, and Hari Krishnan in pivotal roles is expected to showcase the story of the origins of the Kolar Gold Field.
Thangalaan has music by GV Prakash, and this marks his first collaboration with Ranjith. Tamil Prabha is the co-writer of the film while Selva RK and SS Murthi will be handling the editing and art departments, respectively.
A co-production between Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the shooting of the film began recently and it will also release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
