Actor Vijay, who is currently awaiting the release of Varisu for Pongal 2023, will be next seen collaborating with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. If reports are to be believed the makers had conducted a closed pooja ceremony on Monday, with only the cast and crew in attendance.

While we still wait for an official announcement from the makers about the film, speculations are rife that actors Trisha, Priya Anand and Arjun Sarja will also be part of the cast. It is also speculated that Anirudh Ravichander, who collaborated with Lokesh for Vikram and Master, will once again score music for Thalapathy 67. According to reports, Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to play the primary antagonist, while Arjun's role was initially offered to Vishal. Kamal Haasan is also rumoured to play a cameo role in Thalapathy 67.

The announcement video of the film will be shot for a couple of days from December 7.

Meanwhile, as we wait for the confirmation on Thalapathy 67, Vijay will be next seen in Varisu. The film, which is directed by Vamshi Paidapally, will feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The film will also release in Telugu, as it will clash with Ajith Kumar's Thunivu, at the box office.
