It's clear from the social media handles of team Thangalaan that it is not 'All work and no play' at the sets of Pa Ranjith's next with Vikram.

We recently saw an enterprising selfie featuring the leads Vikram, Parvathy and Ranjith, making the rounds on social media. Now, Vikram has shared a video on his social media accounts that features the actor alongside Ranjith and his co-stars Pasupathy, and Harikrishnan among others, swimming in Hogenakkal.

Vikram wrote, "Today, it was a tough shoot for Thangalaan near Hogenakkal. The waters were inviting, and the moment, the director called 'Pack up,' I jumped into the water. Of course, I wouldn't let my friends not have the same enjoyment, right? Even the ones who were apprehensive about getting in the water refused to get out of it."

Billed to be a period drama based on real-life events, Thangalaan is expected to showcase the story of Kolar Gold Field, and stars Malavika Mohanan in a pivotal role.

Thangalaan has music by GV Prakash, and this marks his first collaboration with Ranjith. Tamil Prabha is the co-writer of the film while Selva RK and SS Murthi will be handling the editing and art departments, respectively.

A co-production between Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the shooting of the film began recently and it will also release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
