Rajeev Menon on board for Viduthalai?

The latest reports suggest that filmmaker Rajeev Menon has joined the sets of the Vijay Sethupathi and Soori-starrer Viduthalai. 

Directed by Vetrimaran, the film also features Gautham Menon, Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Kishore and Chetan. While Vijay Sethupathi is said to play a teacher, Soori will be seen in a cop role. 

Meanwhile, Rajeev, the cinematographer-turned-director, last directed the Reunion segment in the Putham Pudhu Kaalai anthology (2020). He made his acting debut in the 1998 film Harikrishnans. However, the makers of Viduthalai have not made any official announcement regarding Rajeev Menon's association in the film.

Adapted from a short story written by Jeyamohan, Viduthalai is produced by Elred Kumar, who also backed Gautham Menon’s Neethaane En Ponvasantham in 2012. The film has cinematography by Velraj and music by Ilayaraaja.
