Since the commencement of the shoot for Varisu, several pictures and BTS videos were leaked from the sets, which left the makers in shock.

Recently, a video of a dance sequence featuring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna leaked on social media sites. Following that, producer Dil Raju requested the public not to forward or share any leaked content.

His tweet read, "Team #Varisu requests you all not to forward/share any leaked content If u come across leaked clips from the movie, please don't share it."

Billed as a family entertainer, Varisu is directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, who marks his debut in the Tamil film industry. Dil Raju is backing the film under the Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner.

Besides Vijay and Rashmika, the film also features a host of known faces across Tamil and Telugu industries, including Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Sangeetha, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Srikanth and Shaam in prominent roles. The film's technical crew includes music composer Thaman S, cinematographer Kharthik Palani and editor Praveen KL.
