Vinayakan on board for Rajinikanth's Jailer?
The film went on floors on August 22
The latest reports suggest that actor Vinayakan, who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry, is on board for Rajinikanth's Jailer.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, which earlier backed Annaatthe.
If the reports are to be believed, Vinayakan joined the sets of Jailer on Monday (August 22) and is said to play a significant role. His portions with Rajini at a police station set will be filmed for a few days.
Vinayakan recently landed in a row for passing misogynistic remarks during the press meeting for the Malayalam film Oruthee, and he apologized later.
Besides, Vinayakan had acted in Tamil films like Thirmiru, Silambattam, Ellam Avan Seyal and Siruthai. He will also be seen in Vikram's upcoming film, Dhruva Nachathiram.
Meanwhile, Ramya Krishnan confirmed that she will be part of Jailer, and there are speculations about Shivrajkumar, Vasanth Ravi (Taramani, Rocky) and Tamannaah being a part of the cast. However, the makers are yet to confirm it.
Set in the background of jail, Rajini plays the titular character in Jailer. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander and will mark the third collaboration between Anirudh and Rajini after Petta and Darbar.
