Title of Thiruchitrambalam was suggested by Dhanush: Mithran Jawahar

Director Mithran Jawahar, who is currently basking the success of his recent directorial Thiruchitrambalam, recently spoke about the film and how the story came about being one of a father and son.

Thiruchitrambalam starring Dhanush, released in theatres on Thursday. The film, also starring Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna, Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, is produced by Sun Pictures. On Saturday, the banner released a short video of Mithran opening up about how Thiruchitrambalam came into being.

“We wanted the audience to like Thiruchitrambalam and the story came up during the discussion. We wanted it to be a story about a father and son,” the filmmaker said.

The recent film marks the fourth collaboration of Dhanush and Mithran, after Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. On this journey with the actor, the filmmaker, “It was exciting and I have seen his tremendous growth from close quarters. I look up to him as a fan.” He also revealed how the title of the film was suggested by Dhanush himself, who is a devotee of Lord Shiva.

While the film was applauded for Dhanush and Nithya’s performances, the music was Anirudh Ravichander was also appreciated. “He brought in an extraordinary energy with is background score and different colour to the film,” Mithran said about Anirudh.
