It's a wrap for Pathu Thala's Bellary schedule

The film, starring Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik, is scheduled to hit screens on December 14

We had previously reported that Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik are teaming up for a film titled Pathu Thala - the official remake of the 2017 Kannada film, Mufti. After a break, the team resumed shooting and has now completed the Bellary schedule. 

The makers announced the news via social media and shared working stills from the film featuring the two lead actors along with the film's director Obeli N Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame. 

The original starred Shivarajkumar and Sriimurali as the leads. In the Tamil version, Simbu is reprising Shivarajkumar's role. He is essaying the role of a gangster named AGR in the film.

Pathu Thala, produced jointly by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam will be seen in supporting roles. It has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Farook J Basha. The film is scheduled to hit screens on December 14. 

Meanwhile, Simbu has the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu slated to hit screens on September 15.
