Sathyaraj to be a part of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2?

Sources report that Sathyaraj is in talks to be a part of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. The actor was last seen on-screen with Kamal in the 1986 action-adventure film Vikram, which recently received a sequel under Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction. Details regarding Sathyaraj’s role in the film are kept under tight wraps by the filmmaker.

Indian 2 is a sequel to Shankar’s 1996 film and follows the freedom fighter turned vigilante Senapathy, played by Kamal Haasan. The production of the film was recently shut down due to an unfortunate accident, the film also went through a slew of hurdles including COVID restrictions, and due to Kamal’s brief stint into politics and reality television.

Sathyaraj recently appeared in R J Balaji’s comedy-drama Veetla Vishesham, which is a remake of the Hindi film Badhaai Ho. With Kamal Hasaan in the lead, the film also stars Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, and Kajal Aggarwal. With Anirudh composing music for the film, the film is being produced by Subaskaran under his banner Lyca Productions. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
