Tanya Hope to play the female lead in Santhanam's next
Tanya, who made her Tamil debut with 2019's Thadam and was last seen in 2020's Dharala Prabhu
We had previously reported that Santhanam is working on a new project with Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Raj. It's now known that the film will feature Tanya Hope as the female lead. According to reports, the film, which will mark Santhanam's 15th film as the lead, will be a rom-com shot as a Tamil-Kannada bilingual.
Tanya, who made her Tamil debut with 2019's Thadam and was last seen in 2020's Dharala Prabhu, joined the sets on the first day of the shoot in Bangalore today. Interestingly, the untitled film also stars Kannada actor Ragini Dwivedi who has previously worked in a Tamil film, Nimirndhu Nil, starring Jayam Ravi.
Produced by Naveen Raj of Fortune Films, the film will mark the Tamil debut of Kannada composer Arjun Janya.
Meanwhile, Tanya has films like Vallaan, Golmaal and Kulasaami in various stages of development.
