SA Chandrasekhar: Like all Vijay fans, I too am eagerly waiting for Beast

Director SA Chandrasekhar has wished the best of luck for his son Vijay's upcoming film, Beast.

The filmmaker posted a video on his Twitter handle, saying "Like you all fans, I too am eagerly awaiting the release of the film... as a fan. My blessings and best wishes for the celebrations that are to follow."

Written and directed by Nelson, Beast is an invasion thriller in which Vijay plays a spy. The film also stars Selvaraghavan, Pooja Hegde, Shine Tom Chacko, Aparna Das, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley.

Beast, produced by Sun Pictures, is scheduled for theatrical release on April 13.

Meanwhile, fans are looking at this as a gesture of goodwill between the father and son. Earlier, squashing the speculations of bad blood between the two, Vijay had stated that all fathers are gods and that they form the strong roots that nourish a family. The actor said this in his interview with director Nelson. Notably, the interview was Vijay's first in almost 10 years.
