It's official: Vijay teams up with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally
Vamsi is the director of Mahesh Babu's National-award winning film Maharshi
It is now officially confirmed that Tamil star Vijay is teaming up with the Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, who is known for Mahesh Babu's National Award-winning film Maharshi.
Tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, the film will be produced by Sri Venkateswara Films. The production house is making its foray into the Tamil film industry.
"With immense pleasure and happiness, we at Sri Venkateshwara Creations announce our first ever Tamil film with Thalapathy Vijay. We are extremely excited about this much-anticipated project and could not have asked for a better beginning than being associated with Thalapathy Vijay. This will for sure be the proudest project for us," the statement from the production house read.
The official statement also said that a top-notch technical team will be associated with the project. The other cast details of the film will are expected to be announced soon.
Vijay is currently busy with his next project, titled Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. On the other hand, Vamshi last directed Maharshi, which turned out to be a blockbuster. The director is also known for films like Brindavanam, Thozha/Oopiri, and Yevadu.
