Director Sarjun KM, whose last release was Thunindha Pinn, a segment in the Netflix anthology Navarasa, will next be teaming up with Kalaiyarasan. Interestingly, the two had previously collaborated for Sarjun's second film, Airaa, that starred Nayanthara in the lead role.  The new film was launched yesterday with a customary pooja ceremony. Malayalam actor Mirnaa (Big Brother) has been roped in as the female lead.

"The film is an intense love story with minimal characters. The storyline happens over a single day and we are planning to wrap up the entire shoot in 20-25 days", says the director.

When asked about the release plans, Sarjun added, "We'll be first sending it to some film festivals before deciding whether to release it in theatres or stream it directly on OTTs."

The film has Balamurugan (Prathi Poovankozhi) as the cinematographer. Girl Gaana, who has previously composed the music for Vetri Maaran's Oor Iravu from Paava Kadhaigal, is handling the music department. B Pravin Baaskar is in charge of editing the film.

Meanwhile, Kalaiyarasan has Kuthiraivaal, a psychological thriller, awaiting release. The film has already had its run at the festival circuit. The actor is also part of the upcoming Simbu-Gautham Karthik film Pathu Thala.
