Rajinikanth appreciates team Rocky

Rajinikanth has appreciated the recently released Tamil action-drama, Rocky. Rajinikanth has watched the Arun Matheswaran directorial and congratulated its lead actors Vasanth Ravi and Bharathiraja and the team of the film. The news was shared by the film’s production company, Rowdy Pictures. In the pictures shared by the makers on social media, Rajinikanth can be seen felicitating Bharathiraja.

The film’s presenter Vignesh Shivan also wrote on Twitter, “Got a call from Thalaivar Rajinikanth. His appreciation for me and Nayan[thara] for presenting, Rocky his words about the film are still ringing in my ears! This gesture of Thalaivar gives us so much confidence. The feeling is just unexplainable.”

Rocky has opened to highly positive critical reception. The film, which follows the titular character (played by Vasanth Ravi) on a killing spree after men who hurt his dear ones, is being lauded for its cinematography, performance, unbridled portrayal of violence, and philosophical undercurrents. 

Filmmaker Arun Matheswaran is set to follow it up with Saani Kayidham starring Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan in the lead roles. It was recently announced that he will be teaming up with Dhanush for a period film.
