It's a wrap for Regina Cassandra's Soorpanagai

The makers of Regina Cassandra's Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Soorpanagai, have announced that the shooting of the film has been wrapped up. Directed by Caarthick Raju of Ulkuthu-fame, the film, which is currently in the final stages of production, will see Regina play an archaeologist.

In a statement, the filmmaker Caarthick Raju said, "Soorpanagai will endow audiences with a novel theatrical experience for its visuals, mystery-driven plot with horror elements, and lots of humour as well.”

Produced by Raj Shekar Varma through Apple Tree Studios, Soorpanagai has music by Sam CS, while Gokul Benoy has handled the cinematography. The film also features Akshara Gowda, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Jaya Prakash, among others in supporting roles. The official statement also added that the film's trailer will be unveiled soon.

On the other hand, Regina has multiple projects in different stages of production — including Borrder co-starring Arun Vijay, the horror film, Karungaapiyam, and the long-delayed anthology, Kasada Tabara — in her upcoming slate of releases.
