Pictures of Kamal Haasan with the Sarpatta Parambarai team are making the rounds on social media. The Vikram actor has met all the actors of Pa Ranjith’s latest release and has appreciated them for the film.

Sarpatta Parambarai, which was released on Amazon Prime on July 22, has been receiving a positive response from all quarters. The boxing drama about the rise of an underdog hero against all odds has struck a right chord with the audience. Now, Kamal Haasan has also come out in praise of the movie.

Talking about the film, Kamal Haasan said, "I have seen the world the film has depicted. Many of my friends were real-life boxers. While watching the film, I was taken back to that era. Every actor in the film has acted in a praiseworthy way. Pa Ranjith has used a simple and effective way in terms of the screenplay to send across his message, which is both interesting and brilliant. I appreciate him and the whole team of Sarpatta Parambarai."

Arya, Dushara Vijayan, Shabeer, John Kokken, Sanchana Natarajan, Pasupathy, John Vijay, and Kalaiyarasan were also present at the meet.

Sarpatta Parambarai is a period drama set in the 70s of Chennai and tells the story of the clash between two boxing clans: Sarpatta Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambarai. The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan, a frequent collaborator with Pa Ranjith.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his next film with Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film, which is produced by Kamal’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
