The 40-second teaser released by HBO Max is titled The One Where They Get Back Together
HBO Max has released the teaser of the much-awaited Friends: The Reunion. The 40-second teaser, titled The One Where They Get Back Together, gives us a glimpse of what to expect from the special.
The teaser shows lead actors Jennifer Aniston (who plays Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Pheobe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bong) walk away from the camera, in what looks like the street outside the famous Stage 24 at Warner Bros Studios where the series wrapped its 10-season run in 2004.
HBO Max has also announced, through the teaser, that the special will premiere on May 27.
The hour-long episode is directed by Ben Winston. The actors also serve as the executive producers alongside series creators Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
Notably, in a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Schwimmer had stated that the special is not scripted and they will not necessarily be in character.
Widely regarded as one of the most popular sitcoms, Friends aired from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons. Over the years, the show gathered a cult following and was also nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning the Outstanding Comedy Series award in 2002.
