Amitabh Bachchan returns to host KBC 13

Amitabh Bachchan will be returning to host the 13^th season of the popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The show's broadcast network, Sony TV confirmed the news recently. First aired in 2000, the show gained instant popularity among Indian households and has remained one of the most-watched shows on Indian television ever since. The show has also played a crucial role in surging the popularity of Amitabh Bachchan, who has hosted 11 out of the 12 seasons so far, barring season three in 2007, when Shah Rukh Khan stepped into the shoes of the Big B.

The latest season of the show concluded earlier this year in January and the registrations for the coming season will be open beginning tomorrow. The showrunners are expected to reveal the airing date soon.

On the acting front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulabo Sitabo and has multiple projects including Brahmastra, Good Bye, and Chehre in his upcoming slate of releases.
