Actor Bikramjeet Kanwarpal has passed away due to COVID-19 complications. He was 52.

He also acted in television shows and starred alongside Anil Kapoor in 24. His last appearance was on the thriller series Special OPS.

“Sad to hear about the demise of actor Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal this morning due to #Covid. A retired army officer, Kanwarpal had played supporting roles in many films and television serials. Heartfelt condolences to his family & near ones,” filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted.

“As an army officer he religiously served India. He was a disciplined man in his previous post as also in his current thespianic art. He was lively, vibrant, full of energy. My grief goes boundless that I would ever never get him as an inspiring co-actor. RIP,” actor Bidita Bag wrote.

Director Vikram Bhatt wrote on Instagram, “Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal passes away. Taken from us by the cruel pandemic. I have done a lot of films with him and this doesn't get closer home. The days are turning into one long obituary and yet each life that we lose cannot be just a number. We cannot allow it to become a number. Each a special friend. May his soul rest in peace."

Bikramjeet had retired as a Major from the Indian Army. He made his acting debut in 2003 to fulfil his childhood dream.
