Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam 2, starring Mohanlal and Meena, opened to rave reviews recently when it premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video last month. The cast and crew of the film have received appreciation from all quarters, including their peers. Baahubali director SS Rajamouli is the latest celebrity to appreciate the sequel to the 2014 thriller.

Rajamouli, in a heartfelt message to Jeethu, said, "Hi Jeethu, this is Rajamouli, film director. Watched Drishyam 2, a few days back. It lingered so much in my thoughts that I went back to watch Drishyam first part (I only watched Drishyam in Telugu when it released). I must say the direction, screenplay, editing and acting - every craft is truly amazing... But the writing is really something else. It is world standard. The first part itself is a masterpiece. For the second one, to come up with a storyline that seamlessly merges with the first, with the same gripping narration is nothing short of brilliance. Hoping to see many more masterpieces from you."

Sharing this on social media, Jeethu said, "Thank you Rajamouli sir... I am honored...you made my day."

Drishyam 2, which was released on February 19, also features Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Asha Sharath and Siddique in key roles.
