Streaming platform Disney+ has crossed 100 million subscribers within its first 16 months. The news was disclosed by its Chief Executive Bob Chapek at the company's annual meeting yesterday.
“The enormous success of Disney+ has inspired us to be even more ambitious, and to significantly increase our investment in the development of high-quality content,” CEO Bob Chapek said in a press release. “In fact, we set a target of more than 100 new titles per year, and this includes Disney Animation, Disney Live Action, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.”
The streaming platform recently finished streaming the Marvel series Wanda Vision and the new series The Falcon and Winter Soldier will be out on March 19.
