Varalaxmi Sarathkumar lands a role in NBK 107?

Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has landed an important role in Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming film, tentatively titled NBK 107, say reports. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film shows her essaying the strongest female character that commands an equal footing with Balakrishna's role. 

"Varalaxmi has been offered a powerful yet substantial role in the film. The director has etched out her character on the lines of Jayamma in their last release, Krack. It's going to be a never-seen-before avatar and the makers have kept the details under wraps. The actor is yet to sign the dotted line and is expected to complete the formalities soon," says a source close to the development.

Billed to be a high-voltage action entertainer, the film is inspired by true events and will see Balakrishna as a cop. The research on the film is in a crucial stage and Gopichand Malineni has recently returned from Vetapalem after gathering credible information from a century-old library. The team will commence the principal shooting soon after the situation returns to pre-Covid-19 days.

Mythri Movie Makers, who earlier delivered Uppena, are bankrolling the film.
