Jessica Ann Collins to star opposite Luke Evans, Michiel Huisman in Apple’s Echo 3
The 10-part series is based on the award-winning Israelian Keshet Broadcasting series When Heroes Fly, which was created by Omri Givon and inspired by the eponymous novel by Amir Gutfreund
Jessica Ann Collins, a.k.a Jessie Collins (Revolution, Zero Dark Thirty) will play the female lead opposite Luke Evans and Michiel Huisman in Apple’s upcoming action-thriller drama series Echo 3.
Hailing from Oscar winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) and Keshet Studios, Echo 3 follows Amber Chesborough (Collins), a brilliant young scientist and the emotional center of a small American family, who goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border. Her brother (Evans) and her husband (Huisman) meed to use their deep military experience as well as deal with complicated pasts, to find her in this layered, personal drama, which set against the backdrop of a secret war.
The 10-part series was given a straight-to-series order in July and will be shot with English and Spanish dialogue. It is based on the award-winning Israelian Keshet Broadcasting series When Heroes Fly, which was created by Omri Givon and inspired by the eponymous novel by Amir Gutfreund.
Boal will serve as showrunner, with Pablo Trapero directing. The series will be produced by Keshet Studios, with Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott serving as executive producer alongside Boal, Jason Horwitch, Mark Sourian, Pablo Trapero, Omri Givon, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Avi Nir (Keshet Media Group), Alon Shtruzman (Keshet International) and Karni Ziv (Keshet Broadcasting).
Meanwhile, Collins, who recently starred in the AMC's Rubicon, will next be seen in Netflix's Clickbait. Her other TV credits include Revolution, For the People and Person of Interest.
