Produced by Tagore Madhu, the yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors in August, says a source

Vakkantham Vamsi, who made his directorial debut with Naa Peru Surya — Naa Illu India, will next be teaming up with actor Nithiin for an action entertainer. Produced by Tagore Madhu, the film will go on floors in August soon after Nithiin wraps up his current commitments.

"It is a high-voltage action drama laced with other filmy ingredients including emotions, romance, humour, etc. Nithiin plays a unique yet challenging character and even as Vamsi penned the script, he felt no one other than the A Aa actor could do justice to the lead role. As he couldn't succeed in his first attempt as a director, Vamsi wants his story and the film to do the talking now," says a source close to the development.

The female lead and other supporting cast are yet to be finalised. "The makers are waiting for Covid-19 second wave to subside and then start the casting process," the source adds.

Besides this untitled film, Nithiin, who was last seen in Rang De, is also committed to work in the Andhadhun-remake Maestro, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, and Power Peta.
