Allu Arha is Prince Bharata in Samantha Akkineni's Shaakuntalam

Arha becomes the fourth generation actor from the Allu family to foray into the Telugu cinema

Actor Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha is all set to debut as a child actor in Samantha Akkineni's upcoming film Shaakuntalam. She will be playing Shaakuntala's son Prince Bharata in the mythological drama directed by Gunasekhar Karri.

Sharing the news of Arha's debut, Allu Arjun tweeted, "A proud moment for the Allu family to announce that the fourth generation, Allu Arha will be making her debut with Shakuntalam movie. I want to thank Gunasekhar garu & Neelima garu for giving my daughter this beautiful movie as her debut."

Responding to Allu Arjun's tweet, producer Neelima Guna wrote,

Set in Himalayas, Shaakuntalam is based on Kalidasa's epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The film also has Dev Mohan as King Dushyanta, Mohan Babu as Durvasa Maharishi and Tamil actor Aditi Balan in a supporting role. The Mani Sharma musical is slated to release on a pan-India scale in 2022.
