Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam to have more villains than we earlier expected

We had previously reported that Dwayne Johnson's pet project Black Adam, in which he plays the titular character, is currently in production. Actor Sarah Shahi, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, said that the film will boast an array of villains.

The actor said, "Yes, I play a character named Adrianna, and she’s a freedom fighter that’s leading this big resistance against an evil, malicious group called Intergang."

Despite Adrianna being the name of Black Adam's wife in the comics, it's unclear whether the film is taking the same route. Intergang though is a villainous organized crime group who get their technology and weapons from The New Gods. This is expected to bring in a host of new villains to the film's universe who have often gone toe to toe with the biggest heroes of DC.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani, Black Adam also stars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan. The film is expected to hit the screens in July 2022.
