Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn back government on farmers’ protest after Rihanna’s tweet
Bollywood celebrities have joined the chorus against ‘false propaganda’ over the farmers’ protest in India

A day after international pop sensation Rihanna tweeted about the farmers’ protest in India, several Bollywood celebrities have backed the centre’s stance on the issue.
Demanding an ‘amicable resolution’ to the protests, Akshay Kumar tweeted,
Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences.#IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda https://t.co/LgAn6tIwWp

The actor was responding to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) claiming the agriculture reforms were passed ‘after a full debate and discussion.’ The statement also criticised celebrities using ‘sensationalist social media hashtags and comments’ to draw attention to the protests.
Actor Ajay Devgn, who had starred in the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardar, cautioned the public against ‘false propaganda’.
Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. Its important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting#IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda

Bollywood producer Karan Johar and actor Suniel Shetty also joined the chorus. In a tweet, Karan Johar said,
We live in turbulent times and the need of the hour is prudence and patience at every turn. Let us together, make every effort we can to find solutions that work for everyone—our farmers are the backbone of India. Let us not let anyone divide us. #IndiaTogether

Among the first Indian celebrities to react to Rihanna’s tweet was Kangana Ranaut, who called the pop star a ‘fool’.
No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA...
Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies. https://t.co/OIAD5Pa61a
