Rashmika Mandanna to play a journalist in RC 15?

Directed by Shankar, RC 15 is expected to go on floors in July

Published: 15th April 2021

We had earlier reported that Rashmika Mandanna is the front-runner to play the female lead in Ram Charan's new film with Shankar, tentatively called RC 15. A source in the know informs us that she will be essaying the role of a journalist in this political thriller bankrolled by Dil Raju.

"Rashmika is quite impressed with her character sketch and Shankar's style of narration. Also, she found her role in the film substantial and believes that this project will push her boundaries as an actor and agreed to be on board. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line but will likely do so soon," says a source.

Produced by Dil Raju, RC 15 will go on floors in July. It is being said that Ram Charan will be seen as an IAS officer-turned-chief minister in the film.

If rumours are to be believed, the makers have also approached Bollywood actor Salman Khan for a pivotal role and are awaiting his response.

RC 15 will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi in 2022.

Besides this film, Rashmika is also working on the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa and Sharwanand's family entertainer Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu.
