Vikram congratulates Mari Selvaraj for Karnan

Incidentally, Dhruv Vikram is to work with Mari Selvaraj on a biopic of a kabaddi player from Tamil Nadu, which will be bankrolled by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions

Karnan, Mari Selvaraj's follow up to his critically-acclaimed debut Pariyerum Perumal, recently opened in theatres to widespread appreciation from critics and audience alike. Wishes have also been pouring in for the makers from members of the film industry. The latest in this list is actor Vikram.

Vikram, whose son Dhruv is set to star in Mari Selvaraj's next, met the filmmaker to congratulate him on the success of the Dhanush-starrer.

Dhruv's film with Mari is set to be a biopic of a kabaddi player from Tamil Nadu. It will be bankrolled by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions. 

Apart from Vikram, Mari also received appreciation from several other members of the film fraternity, including Vijay Sethupathi, whose warm gesture of appreciation recently went viral. 

Also starring Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Karnan has music by Santhosh Narayanan and was shot by Theni Eswar.
