Sun Picture took to Twitter to share a picture from the sets of Annaatthe, featuring Rajinikanth and Siva. The two are seen having a chat as the sun is going down. 

The film, which marks the return of Rajinikanth to a rural set-up, has been in the making for a long time now due to the pandemic. It is also Rajini's first film with director Siva, whose last venture, Viswasam, turned out to be a blockbuster.

Annaatthe has music by D Imman, who bagged the National Award for Viswasam. The rural entertainer also stars Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Kushboo, Meena, Jagapati Babu, and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. The film is expected to be released this year.
