Chiranjeevi steps down from MAA disciplinary committee
The disciplinary and reconciliation committee of MAA also has Mohan Babu and Jayasudha as its members
Actor Chiranjeevi has stepped down as a member of the disciplinary and reconciliation committee of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) due to internal issues, says a source. He reportedly sent his resignation to veteran actor Krishnam Raju, who is serving as the chief advisor of the committee.
"Chiranjeevi is upset by the unprofessional behaviour of some executive committee (EC) members and has decided to quit the job as he doesn't want to put pressure on himself in resolving the internal issues of MAA. He has sent his resignation letter to Krishnam Raju, who has immediately accepted his decision expressing his deepest respect for Chiranjeevi," says the source, adding, "The disciplinary committee has been dysfunctional for almost a year now due to Covid-19 outbreak and Chiru was contemplating quitting it and finally made the call on Wednesday."
The disciplinary and reconciliation committee of MAA also has Mohan Babu and Jayasudha as its members.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is shooting for his upcoming release, Acharya. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is slated for release in the second half of this year.
