RRR writer Vijayendra Prasad tests positive for COVID-19

Renowned screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad has tested positive for COVID-19 and will remain under home quarantine.

"Vijayendra Prasad developed symptoms after returning from Chennai for the trailer launch of Thalaivi. He got the test done a couple of days ago and the report was positive. He is currently following the protocols recommended by his doctors and has requested everyone to not disturb him for two weeks," says a source close to the veteran writer.

Vijayendra Prasad has provided the story and the screenplay for his son and director SS Rajamouli's upcoming period action entertainer, RRR. Starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, the film is gearing up for release on October 13.

He also worked as a writer for Kangana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivi, a biopic on late actor and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa. 

Recently, Allu Aravind, Trivikram Srinivas, Nivetha Thomas, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn were among those who were infected with the novel coronavirus.
