Actor Anil Kapoor has penned a tribute to SP Balasubrahmanyam, who passed away at 74 on Friday. Anil played the lead in Mani Ratnam’s 1983 Kannada film Pallavi Anu Pallavi, and SPB had voiced the songs Naguva Nayana and O Premi O Premi on the soundtrack, which was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

SPB’s last rites were performed at his farmhouse near Thamaraipakkam, Tirvallur, on Saturday. The legendary singer received full state honours from the Tamil Nadu government.
