Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, who has been arrested by the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in connection with the Sandalwood drug racket case, has been remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by a city court.

As Dwivedi’s police custody ended on Monday, the police produced her along with four other accused before the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court, through video conference. As the police did not seek for further extension of their police custody, the court remanded the five accused in judicial custody.

Following this, the police took the five accused including Dwivedi to Bengaluru Central Prison located in Parappana Agrahara and remanded them in judicial custody. The actor is waiting for a bail to be granted. Her advocates have already moved a petition and it is yet to be heard by the court.

Meanwhile, another actress Sanjjanaa Galrani, who was also arrested in the case, will be in the police custody for two more days. The police have got her in custody along with Viren Khanna and Ravishankar. Her questioning in connection with the case will continue.
