Office bearers of Bharathiraja-fronted new producers council announced

Director-producer Bharathiraja had recently announced he would be starting a new producers' council named Tamil Thiraipada Nadappu Thayaripaalar Sangam (Tamil Film Active Producers Association). Today, the council got a new office address, and the list of office bearers was announced.  

While Bharathiraja was announced as the president of the organisation, Sathyajyoti Thiagarajan and Amma Creations' T Siva were selected as the treasurer and general secretary, respectively. 
 
Earlier in a press release announcing the launch of the association, Bharathiraja wrote,  "A new council is the need of the hour. It has been years since we even functioned. It is crucial to find the answers to pressing issues like the state of the films that are yet to be released and the uncertain challenges of the future." Clarifying that his intention was not to break up the parent organisation, he added, "Please do not think that we are dividing and conquering. We are eager to work towards positive changes. It is high time we act. Contemplating our next move forever isn't going to help us."

Other office bearers include G Dhananjayan and SR Prabhu as vice-presidents, and Suresh Kamatchi and SS Lalit Kumar as the joint secretaries. Other executive members of the association are S Nandagopal, CV Kumar, P Madan, Rajasekara Karpoora Pandian, G Dilli Babu, Karthikeyan Santhanam, R Kannan, Sudhan Sundaram, Vijay Raghavendra, IB Karthikeyan, Nithin Sathya, and PG Muthaiah.
