Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone to reunite for Atlee’s Sanki?

After reports of Shah Rukh Khan facing off John Abraham in Pathan, news comes that the superstar will be paired with Deepika Padukone in Atlee’s Sanki. Citing exclusive sources, Filmfare reveals that Deepika loved the story of Sanki and has stepped on board for the project.

SRK and Deepika have previously worked together in Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. Meanwhile, previous reports claim that Deepika will be playing the female lead in Pathan, to be directed by Siddharth Anand.

Pathan: A big-scale, cat-and-mouse action thriller to be produced by Yash Raj Films

Sanki: A masala entertainer to be helmed by the maker of Bigil, Mersal and Theri. Back in 2019, SRK had shared the trailer of Bigil and called it Chak De! India on steroids.

Raj and DK collab: In January, filmmaking duo Raj and DK told critic Rajeev Masand that SRK had loved ‘one of their favourite scripts’ and a film with the superstar might happen soon.

Aashiq Abu’s next: In December last year, Malayalam director Aashiq Abu (Virus, Mayaanadhi) met SRK at his Mannat residence in Mumbai and reportedly signed a film with him.

Rajkummar Hirani’s next: SRK is rumoured to collaborate with the 3 Idiots director on a social comedy. The film will follow immigrants moving from Punjab to Canada.

In addition, SRK is expected to have cameos in the upcoming films Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Brahmastra.
