Gautham Menon, Pa Ranjith, M Rajesh, Venkat Prabhu, and Chimbu Devan are reportedly coming together for an anthology

Published: 07th September 2020

It seems to be raining anthologies in OTT land. We had previously reported that Gautham Menon, Venkat Prabhu, Nalan Kumarasamy and Vijay are teaming up for an anthology. There are also a few more of these in the pipeline, with one each for Netflix and Amazon confirmed. It's now known that Gautham Menon, Venkat Prabhu, Pa Ranjith, Chimbu Devan, and M Rajesh might be coming together for an anthology for Disney+Hotstar.

It's speculated that Gautham's portion will star Arjun Das and Prayaga Martin, while Venkat Prabhu's film will have Prasanna, Amala Paul, and Krish. Director Rajesh's segment is said to feature Natarajan Subramanian and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Pa Ranjith's, meanwhile, will likely have him teaming up once again with Dinesh (after Attakathi and Kabali). Chimbu Deven's film is expected to star Thambi Ramaiah and Nassar.

The anthology is said to be bankrolled by Axess Film Factory in association with Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket Company. This will add to the original Tamil content on Disney+ Hotstar, which ventured into the space in 2017 with As I'm Suffering From Kadhal.

Incidentally, Disney+ Hotstar is also the platform where Venkat Prabhu's untitled series with Kajal Aggarwal and the Tamannaah-starrer The November Story are expected to land.
