Actor Manoj K Bharathi will be making his long-awaited directorial debut with Libra Ravindar's upcoming production. Although there is no word on the cast yet, the makers have promised that it will be an 'impressive and interesting' lineup.
Manoj made his debut as a hero under his father Bharathiraja's direction in the 1999 love story, Taj Mahal. He went on to play the lead in films like Alli Arjuna, Varushamellam Vasantham, and Kadal Pookal.
In an attempt to pursue his long-pending dream of direction, he assisted Shankar in Endhiran. Post that, he was expected to helm the sequel to his father's Sigappu Rojakkal and had expressed interest in casting Dhanush in the lead.
The upcoming Manoj-Ravindar film will go on floors next year. It is not yet clear whether the newly-announced film is Sigappu Rojakkal 2 or a fresh script. An official announcement regarding this is expected from the production house soon.

Meanwhile, Manoj is also a part of the cast of Simbu's highly-anticipated Maanaadu.
