Paava Kadhaigal to be released on December 18

Netflix’s first Tamil original, the anthology Paava Kadhaigal will begin streaming on the platform on December 18. Netflix made the announcement with a small teaser from the anthology, which consists of four shorts helmed by Vignesh Shivan, Sudha Kongara, Vetri Maaran, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Paava Kadhaigal will feature Simran, Anjali, Kalki Koechlin, Kalidas Jayaram, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Prakashraj, Sai Pallavi, Bhavani Sre, and Gautham Vasudev Menon himself. The anthology is said to be based on honour killings.

Apart from Paava Kadhaigal, Netflix has another anthology in the pipeline, Navarasa. This anthology is produced by Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan, with segments helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, Halitha Shameem, Karthik Naren, Ponram, Aravind Swami, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bejoy Nambiar, KV Anand, and Rathindran Prasad.
