Henry Cavill might return as Superman

Henry Cavill is in talks to reprise his role as Superman, aka Clark Kent, in an upcoming film in DCEU.

Though multiple sources state that Cavill will be donning the red cape once again, neither the actor nor Warner Bros studio has officially confirmed it yet.

Cavill played the superhero in Zack Snyder's Superman origin story Man Of Steel in 2013, then reprised his role in 2016's Batman v Superman and 2017's Justice League.

Recently, Snyder announced the long-rumoured Snyder Cut of Justice League, will be released on HBO Max, owing to a massive number of requests from the fans. As there won't be any reshoot for the director's cut, it is safe to assume that Cavill might make a cameo in one of the upcoming DC films, Aquaman 2, The Suicide Squad or The Batman.

It may be recalled that during an interview with a magazine last year, the actor confirmed that he had not given up the role. "The cape is still in the closet. It's still mine. I've not given up the role," he said.

Meanwhile, Cavill was also seen in 2018's Mission: Impossible - Fallout alongside Tom Cruise. He is a part of Netflix's The Witcher as well.
