Final season of 13 Reasons Why to premiere on June 5

Netflix has announced that the fourth season of 13 Reasons Why, which will also be the final season of the series, will be released on June 5.

Netflix revealed the news on its Twitter page with a video of the crew captioned as "On June 5, we say our final goodbye."

Created by Brian Yorkey, 13 Reasons Why became an instant hit but was also widely criticized for its portrayal of suicide. The cast includes Minnette, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn Miles Heizer, Grace Saif, Christian Navarro, Ross Butler and Timothy Granaderos.

The Netflix original series produced by Selena Gomez is based on Jay Asher's 2007 novel of the same name.
