Chiranjeevi makes his social media entry with Instagram debut

Amid the bleak atmosphere due to the coronavirus outbreak, Megastar Chiranjeevi has given Telugu movie buffs a reason to rejoice. The actor has joined the Instagram family, on the eve of Telugu New Year.

While he is yet to introduce his official handle, Cinema Express has learned that he has got a verified Instagram account '@ChiranjeeviKonidela'. As of now, there are no posts on his Insta page, but the follower count shot up to over 265k followers and counting.

In a video where he stated the reasons for hopping onto the social media, Chiru says, "I have decided to join the social media bandwagon on Ugadi to share my feelings with my fans. Also, I also want to express my thoughts directly to the public."  

According to reports, he will share his first post, a video message, on Wednesday coinciding with Ugadi. The news of Chiru making his debut on social media has spread like wildfire and #WelcomeMegastarToSM started trending on Twitter.

Chiru will next be seen in Acharya, a socio-political drama directed by Koratala Siva. The team has suspended the shooting of the film for two weeks in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
