Ranjit Jeyakodi's next titled Yaarukkum Anjael

We had previously reported that director Ranjit Jeyakodi of Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum-fame is working on a film with Bindu Madhavi and Bengali actor Darshana Banik. It is now known that the film has been titled Yaarukkum Anjael. The film's poster was released by actors Simbu and Vijay Sethupathi on Thursday.

"The film revolves around both the female characters. The title itself is a phrase to represent a person's rebellious nature. The poster has an image of a blood-doused butterfly. A butterfly is a soft creature, so when there's blood over it, you know that it has seen its share of violence," says director Ranjit, who is quick to clarify that violence does not just mean gory action. "Even staring at someone or invading someone's private space is a type of violence. Snatching the rights of someone is also a form of violence and the film will be about how one should not be afraid to ask for their rights. The idea of the film is encapsulated in the tagline: 'All that's necessary for evil is for good men to do nothing'."

Shot over a period of 30 days in Ooty, Yaarukkum Anjael, produced by Devarajalu Markandeyan for Third Eye Entertainment, is currently in the post-production stage. The film's first look is expected to be out soon.
