Koluthungada: Master team release poster to celebrate Thalapathy Vijay's birthday

To mark actor Vijay's 46th birthday, the makers of his upcoming film, Master, released the latest poster from the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. 

Master marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. The latter plays the antagonist in the film, which also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, and Arjun Das. 

The poster with liberal shades of yellow features a stylish Vijay at the centre of it all. In the background, we see the actor shaking a leg with a group of excited dancers who do justice to the tagline of the poster - Koluthungada. It is all sorts of fire, all right!

With music by Anirudh and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, Master was supposed to hit theatres worldwide this summer but the coronavirus pandemic laid those plans to rest. With no clarity yet about the end of lockdown across India, the release date of Master has been postponed indefinitely.

However, there are speculations that Lokesh's first film with Vijay might release this Diwali if everything else falls into place.

Despite the delay, the buzz around Master shows no signs of waning, and if the social media trends on Vijay's birthday are any indication, then the hype around Lokesh Kanagaraj's third film after Maanagaram and Kaithi just got more unreal.
