Oprah Winfrey to discuss race in US in new Apple TV+ series

Popular American TV host and actor Oprah Winfrey has teamed up with Apple TV+ for a third interview series, the first few episodes of which will focus on race in America.

Titled The Oprah Conversation, the series will begin streaming on the platform this week, with the first episode titled How to Be an Antiracist. Winfrey’s guest for this episode is Abram X Kendi, who has written a book with the same title.

This show is part of Winfrey’s multi-year deal with Apple TV+, which includes her previous shows Oprah's Book Club and Oprah Talks COVID-19.

The episodes for The Oprah Conversation will be recorded remotely. Following Kendi, Winfrey will be talking with athlete and activist Emmanuel Acho, discussing his series Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man. The series will also feature Equal Justice Initiative founder Bryan Stevenson, whose memoir inspired the film Just Mercy.
