Director Anubhav Sinha will be producing an anthology on the coronavirus pandemic under his Benares Media Works banner. This anthology will have segments helmed by directors Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Subash Kapoor, and Ketan Mehta, apart from Anubhav himself. The announcement was confirmed by the filmmaker on social media.

It is said that the anthology will have the filmmakers present their interpretation of the stories around the coronavirus pandemic.

Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad, starring Taapsee Pannu, was released earlier this year to critical and commercial acclaim. Meanwhile, Sudhir Mishra, popular for his film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, has a Netflix original coming up soon.

Hansal Mehta is known for the queer drama Aligarh and the political thriller Omerta, both films won international acclaim. Ketan Mehta, on the other hand, helmed the feminist drama Mirch Masala, while Subash Kapoor’s filmography includes Jolly LLB and its sequel.

Shooting for the anthology is expected to begin later this year.
