Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film, Dil Bechara, is set for release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. An adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, the film is directed by Mukesh Chhabra and also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi. The story follows two cancer patients who meet and fall in love. In addition to the main characters — Kizie and Manny — the latter's motorbike plays a special role in the film, Mukesh shares.

“Our film actually has this bike, which is Manny's bike and it has a side car, so we used to keep singing songs from the movie and taking the bike for a spin,” the filmmaker recalls. “The weather in Jamshedpur was so unpredictable, it suddenly used to rain and we loved running out into the rain like small kids.”

On his friendship with Sushant, Mukesh adds, “We actually used to always be each other's stress buster. Whenever we got an opportunity, we used to dance and sing on set.”
