Kamal Haasan to present Ranveer Singh's '83 in Tamil 

Kamal Haasan has joined the team of '83, the period sports drama which tells the story of the Indian Cricket team's World Cup victory in 1983. Y Not Studios, which made Vikram Vedha and Game Over, is also teaming up with RKFI to present the film in Tamil. 

Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to announce the recent development. 

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone as his on-screen wife. It also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, and Harrdy Sandhu in important roles.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan currently is working on Indian 2, directed by Shankar. Anirudh is composing the music for the film, which co-stars Kajal Aggarwal, Nedumundi Venu, Rakkul Preet Singh, and Siddharth.
