Sarileru Neekevvaru goes under scissors?

Mahesh Babu's latest offering Sarileru Neekevvaru, which opened in cinemas on January 11, has received criticism about its undue length, especially the train sequences involving Subbaraju, and the extended climax featuring Prakash Raj.

Taking cognisance of such views, a source reveals that the makers are contemplating editing these portions. "Given the premise, these sequences neither evoke laughter nor gel with the narrative. Rather, they serve as a hindrance to the narrative. So, to salvage the film, the team is planning to end the film abruptly at the Kurnool railway station and remove these extraneous scenes," informs the source.

The edited version is likely to be played in theatres from Saturday.
