Raaghav Vinay Shivagange, who was part of the dialogue writing crew of KGF Chapter 1, has now turned director with Tom and Jerry. The film of this debutant director is all about friendship of the lead characters.

“Opposites attract each other and that's the underlying theme of the film. Two people who are poles apart in terms of their characters end up staying together. The film is about their relationship,” says the director, who has brought in Nischith and Chaitra Rao to play the lead roles in the film.

Nischith made his debut with the critically-acclaimed film, Gantu Moote, which was directed by Roopa Rao. He has gone for a complete makeover for Tom and Jerry.

On the other hand, Chaitra Rao is known for her teleserial, Jodi Hakki. She then made her foray into Kannada cinema with the yet-to-be-released Mayabazar, which is directed by Radhakrishna Reddy under PRK Production.

The two actors will be part of workshops and rehearsals before they start shooting for the film. The muhurath of the film is all set to happen on Sankranti (January 15). The movie will then go on floors on February 3. It will be made under the banner of RidhiSiddhi Films.

Mathews Manu is composing the music for the film, which will have about five songs.

Sanketh, who assisted Bhuvan Gowda in KGF Chapter 1, is handling the cinematography for the upcoming film. Suraj has been roped in for editing and Arjun Raj will choreograph the stunt sequences.

The film also stars Tara, Jai Jagadish, Rangayana Raghu, Kaddipudi Chandru, Padmaja Rao, Gunakshekar, and Prakash Tumbinadu, among others.
